Switching from Teachworks? We’ll carry everything over.
Lesson Complete is the all-in-one platform that runs your music school for $0.49 per active student — a student in two programs counts once — with every feature included, unlimited staff, and native apps. And this summer we migrate your whole school for you, free.
Free for your first 4 students · No credit card required · Month-to-month
Teachworks is a capable, flexible platform for tutoring businesses. It is configurable in a way that lets very different companies — academic tutoring, test prep, enrichment, music — assemble the setup they want, and plenty of well-run businesses are genuinely well served by it.
Two things change when the business you are running is specifically a music school. The bill is assembled from a base subscription, per-teacher pricing, and whichever add-ons you switch on, so the number you were quoted and the number on the invoice tend to drift apart. And a platform built to fit tutoring in general has to stay neutral about instruments, practice, recitals, and sheet music — the things your week is actually made of.
What changes when you leave Teachworks
A base subscription plus per-teacher fees and a marketplace of paid add-ons — the sticker price rarely matches the final bill.
No add-on math
When core capabilities live in an add-on marketplace, the real monthly cost is a spreadsheet exercise — and it creeps.
One price includes everything: scheduling, autopay, SMS reminders, storefront, library, growth tools, and the AI assistant. There is nothing else to bolt on.
Per-active-student beats base-plus-per-teacher
A base fee plus per-teacher charges means small schools subsidise the platform and growing schools get punished twice.
You pay $0.49 for each active student — a student in two programs still counts once — and nothing for staff. The bill maps to the thing that actually generates revenue: the students in the building.
Native apps for everyone
A responsive website on a phone is not the same as an app in every teacher’s and family’s pocket.
Lesson Complete ships native iPhone, iPad, and Android apps — teachers run lessons from the iPad, families reschedule and pay from their phones.

Run the numbers at your size
Lesson Complete is $0.49 per active student, capped at $195 a month per location. Here is how that lines up against Teachworks as a school grows.
| School size | Lesson Complete | Teachworks |
|---|---|---|
| ~100 students | $49 / mo — everything includedA school this size usually runs several teachers. | Base subscription + per-teacher pricing for your faculty + whichever add-ons you have enabled |
| ~250 students | $122.50 / mo — everything included | Base subscription + per-teacher pricing across a full faculty + the same add-ons |
| ~500 students | $195 / mo — capped, everything includedOur price stops here. After 398 students, every new student is free. | Base subscription + per-teacher pricing across a large faculty + the same add-ons |
Teachworks publishes a base subscription with per-teacher pricing and offers additional capabilities as paid add-ons, so a school’s real total depends on how many teachers it runs and which add-ons it turns on — verify current rates and add-on pricing on their site. Lesson Complete pricing verified July 2026: $0.49 per active student with every feature included, capped at $195/mo per location.
What gets better the day you switch
- One line replaces the stack: scheduling, autopay, SMS reminders, storefront, library, growth tools, and the AI assistant are all in the same price, with nothing left to bolt on.
- Every teacher and admin you have — and every one you hire next — is free, so the bill tracks students instead of staff.
- Native iPhone, iPad, and Android apps go out under your school’s brand: teachers run the lesson from the iPad, families reschedule and pay from their phones.
- Every screen assumes a music school — instruments and levels, lesson notes and practice, recitals, and a sheet-music library built in.
Switching takes three steps. We do two of them.
Send us what you have
A CSV export, a Stripe connection, a spreadsheet — even a pasted list. Our importer reads them all, and we handle the cleanup.
We set your school up
Teachers, students, families, schedules, and billing plans arrive configured to match how you run things today. You review; we adjust.
Flip the switch together
Invite teachers and families when you’re ready. You stay on your old system until the moment you’re confident — no gap, no double entry.
The September-Safe promise: we do not cut over until you say go. Come in over the summer, run both systems side by side, and flip to Lesson Complete only once your fall schedule is loaded and you have signed off. No gap on the busiest week of your year.
Lock your rate for life
The first 25 schools to join get their per-student rate and their $195 cap locked for good, free white-glove migration, free until your fall term starts, and a direct line to the founder — I am 20 minutes away in Houston.
Moving is safe, and so is staying
Your students, families, and money records are yours — export them any time, cancel any time, no lock-in. See exactly how we handle your school’s data and how billing and payouts stay clean.
Migration questions, answered
What does the free migration include?
We move your whole school for you — every teacher, student, family, and schedule — and set up your billing plans to match how you charge today. Free during Summer 2026.
What do I need to export?
Usually just the student/family export (CSV) from your current system, or a Stripe connection if you bill there. Our importer also reads pasted lists, spreadsheets, and calendar files.
How long does switching take?
Most schools are live within a few days: import on day one, review the roster together, then invite teachers and families when you’re ready. You stay on your old system until you flip.
Will my families have to re-enter payment details?
If you bill through Stripe today, we can migrate customers and saved payment methods through Stripe’s official process. Otherwise families add a card once at their first invoice — with autopay from then on.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No contract — month-to-month, cancel anytime. Onboarding and setup are a $499 value we waive for founding schools who join during the launch window, and your first 4 active students are free, so a small studio can try the whole platform without paying a cent.
What if I use a system that isn’t listed here?
The migration offer applies to any system — or no system at all. Send us whatever you have (spreadsheets, paper, another app’s export) and we’ll take it from there.
How do I move my Teachworks data to Lesson Complete?
You pull whatever your account lets you export — students and contacts, schedules, billing history — and hand it to us. Our importer reads CSVs, spreadsheets, pasted lists, and calendar files, and anything it can’t read we sort out with you by hand. You stay live on Teachworks the whole time and only flip once your roster and schedule look right in Lesson Complete. Free, and we do the work, during Summer 2026.
Will my families have to re-enter their card details if I switch from Teachworks?
If your card payments run through a Stripe account you own, usually not — we connect that same account through Stripe’s official process, so your customers and their saved payment methods come across and autopay keeps running. If the cards live in a vault you don’t control, families save a card once at their first Lesson Complete invoice, and we send branded email and text links to make that a two-minute job rather than a chase.
Leave the busywork with Teachworks.
Start free with your first 4 students — and when you’re ready, we’ll move the whole school over for you. Free during Summer 2026.
